Tower Pride

On Thursday 19th June we marked Pride Month with a Tower Pride Party! Pupils were engaged in a variety of activities to celebrate this, with many colouring their own pride flags and waving them proudly. Staff added to the celebrations of the day by wearing bright, rainbow coloured clothes, which you can see proudly displayed below in our Tower Pride rainbow photo!

Thank you to all that joined the celebrations, especially pupils who helped to plan and set up the event which included curating a playlist of music by queer artists for us to listen to.

Alongside our Tower Pride Party, we also had a food sale including colourful rainbow fruit platters hand prepared by our Martello and Spire pupils, and sweet treats baked by all. Donations from this will be donated to the charity ‘Stonewall’, who work hard to promote understanding and inclusion of the queer community in the UK, as well as working directly with schools to provide resources and guidance.

Our celebrations have been fantastic opportunity to honour those within the LGTBQ+ community and those that support them – a true testament to our wonderful Tower School family.
