This week, Kyle from Pagoda shared some wonderful poems written by his great-nan, Celia. He also brought in a document filled with information about her life and interests. The class listened attentively and respectfully and thoroughly enjoyed learning about Celia’s experiences as a nurse and her time in the RAF, as well as her family life. The children agreed that she was a hero for helping so many people through her work as a nurse—and they loved discovering that she shared their appreciation for a good roast dinner! Max was inspired to write a note to Celia—well done, Max!
