Working alongside our excellent education team at The Tower School, we have an in-house Clinical Team, consisting of an Occupational Therapist, Psychotherapist, Speech & Language Therapist and Therapy Assistant. Our collaborative approach stretches across the school to encompass a range of strategies to support our pupils’ needs.
We recognise that pupils attending the school have complex and varied needs. The aim of our clinical team is to help pupils develop skills and understanding that they can use independently, reliably and transfer to real life situations they may face. We are committed to holding our pupils’ needs as paramount within the context of the school and the wider services around each young person.
Clinical support is delivered at 3 different levels as described below; Universal, Enhanced and Specialist, this is called the Wellbeing Rainbow.
UNIVERSAL: A holistic therapeutic environment
As a specialist provision, all pupils receive a range of therapeutic input within the setting. The Clinical team provides support around the creation and maintenance of a therapeutic inclusive environment, universal resources and school team support and development through bespoke training.
ENHANCED: Strategies and programmes developed and monitored by a qualified therapist which can be delivered by a therapy assistant or trained teaching assistant.
SPECIALIST: Direct clinical involvement from one or more of our qualified therapists.
