Headteacher’s Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are pleased to announce the expansion of our school staff team and are currently recruiting for Autism Practitioners, an Administrator, a Positive Behaviour and Learning Mentor, and an SEN Teacher. This expansion opportunity is due to steady school growth. We believe that these additional roles will truly benefit the service offered to you and the support available to our young people.

At The Tower School, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment where all pupils can thrive. In order to maintain this atmosphere, we rely on the collective effort of our entire school community, including our dedicated staff, wonderful pupils, and you, our supportive parents and carers.

We believe that high expectations for behaviour are crucial in promoting a positive learning environment. Respect, kindness, and responsibility are our core values that we strive to model for all pupils. To achieve this, we need your support in reinforcing these expectations at home and in all interactions with the school.

How You Can Help

  1. Talk to your child about the wonderful improvements we have made to our school, and the importance of taking care of our environment – much like they do their own home. This includes disposing of litter properly, respecting school property, and being mindful of their surroundings.
  2. Support natural and logical consequences for property damage issued in school. For example, helping the teacher to clean up pen marks drawn onto a wall.
  3. Communicate with us! If you have any concerns or suggestions regarding behaviour or the school environment, please do not hesitate to contact us. We value your input and collaboration.

Your involvement is invaluable in helping us maintain a positive and respectful school culture. Thank you for your continued support and for being a crucial part of our school community.

Together, we can ensure that The Tower School remains a place where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.

Kind regards,

Mrs Gibbs
