Home Events & Celebrations Allotment Grand Opening

We are delighted to share that our school allotment is now complete! This wonderful outdoor space showcases the dedication, creativity, and teamwork of our incredible pupils. From the initial stages of planning and organizing to the hands-on efforts of digging, planting, and transforming the area, our pupils’ enthusiasm and hard work have been the driving force behind this achievement. We couldn’t be prouder of what they have accomplished.
To celebrate this special milestone, we were honoured to have the Mayor of Epping join us yesterday for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. It was a joyful occasion shared by pupils and staff alike, complete with cake and refreshing drinks to mark the opening of our new outdoor space.
Starting this summer term, the allotment will serve as an outdoor classroom, providing pupils with the opportunity to learn in a vibrant, hands-on environment. To ensure their safety and comfort, we kindly ask that pupils come prepared with hats and sunscreen on sunny days.
Additionally, we are excited to announce the launch of a lunchtime allotment group, which will run twice a week. During these sessions, children will have the chance to sow seeds, plan layouts, and harvest produce. Through these activities, they will develop valuable skills in teamwork, responsibility, environmental awareness, and healthy living—skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
We eagerly anticipate watching the allotment grow, just like the amazing pupils who have helped bring it to life. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement!
