Speaking, Listening & Communication curriculum

We have introduced Speaking, Listening & Communication as a new subject in our Curriculum for this academic year; all of our learners from Key Stage 3 through to 5 will be engaging with this. The teaching of oracy, the art and skill of spoken language communication, is a fundamental skill for our young people to develop. Oracy is a powerful tool for learning; by enabling our young people to become more effective speakers and listeners we empower them to better understand themselves, each other and the world around them. It is also a route to social mobility, empowering our learners to find their voice to succeed at The Tower School, and life beyond. We look forward to sharing our pupils’ progress and academic endeavours in the coming months!
