This week, during Food Technology BTEC Level 1, we have been studying breakfast and how to make a perfectly, well-balanced breakfast. This included studying the Eat Well Guide and exploring what options were available for us to choose from in the morning.
One pupil made his Breakfast Burrito containing sausage, egg and bacon. He did well and enjoyed the challenges of multi-tasking when managing different ingredients on the hob and using the oven.
Another pupil explored making a sweeter option by opting for an apple cake. He baked the cake independently and even thought of ways to improve the recipe he was given, adding cinnamon and trying his absolute best. A great cooking lesson exploring both sweet and savoury breakfast options!

For our Key Stage Three Food Technology students, an enthusiastic Pagoda followed their recipes to create a vibrant and nutritious vegetable stir fry. They measured out the honey and soy sauce, chopped the peppers and spring onions and cooked the noodles!
