Home Events & Celebrations DofE Off-Site Lessons
As part of their second year of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, our KS4 pupils have been engaging in off-site lessons. These sessions are designed not only to build stamina and experience for their upcoming expedition later in the year, but also to develop practical skills essential for outdoor adventures.
Pupils have been exploring local shops to research and source appropriate equipment and food items. This hands-on experience helps them make informed choices about gear, nutrition, and budgeting—key components of successful expedition planning. It’s a fantastic opportunity for them to apply real-world decision-making while strengthening their independence and teamwork.
