Touch Typing Club

Every Wednesday, pupils take part in our Touch Typing Club develop an essential life skill in the Computing Room. During each session, children practise typing accurately and efficiently by focusing on correct finger placement, keeping their eyes on the screen rather than their hands, and building muscle memory to improve speed and confidence.Pupils are encouraged to refine their technique through regular practice, helping them to type more fluently and with greater independence. These skills support learning across the curriculum, from written work to research and creative projects.Touch typing is a critical skill in 2026 and by building strong foundations now, we are equipping our pupils with the tools they need to succeed both in school and beyond!
