Home Events & Celebrations Preparing for Adulthood
Last Friday, Martello and Obelisk pupils took part in a Preparation for Adulthood trip to Camden Market and Primrose Hill, and it was a great day for exploration and independence.
At Camden Market, pupils enjoyed wandering through the busy stalls and experiencing the vibrant atmosphere. They explored a wide range of shops, including the popular ‘Duck World’, fragrance stands, jewellery stalls, and food stands. A few pupils even practised their negotiation skills by haggling prices with market traders! Pupils also got to enjoy watching artists painting live and discovering many unique items along the way
.After the market, we took a walk to Primrose Hill, spotting a real Banksy artwork on the way. Once we reached the top of the hill, pupils were rewarded with one of the best views of the London skyline (despite the rain) making the climb well worth it.
Throughout the trip, pupils demonstrated independence while navigating a busy market and unfamiliar streets. They showed confidence, curiosity and teamwork and we were incredibly proud of how they represented the school.
