Food Tech – Lantern

This week, our Lantern students rolled up their sleeves and stepped into the role of budding chefs during their life‑skills cooking lesson. The group explored each step of the pizza‑making process — from preparing fresh ingredients to assembling and baking their own delicious creations.

The students practiced key independence skills such as following instructions, making choices about toppings, using kitchen equipment safely, and working together as a team. There were plenty of smiles (and amazing smells!) as they experimented with flavours and proudly presented their finished pizzas.

Activities like this not only build confidence but also help students develop practical skills they can use at home and in the community. Well done, Lantern — your pizzas looked incredible, and your teamwork was even better!
